About Doc’s Drive-In Theatre – the Best Drive-In Movie Theater in Texas
Owners Chris and Sarah Denny opened the gates to Doc’s Drive-In Theatre in 2018. They took a chance on a shared dream and spent incredible time and effort perfecting the systems and layout that would provide unparalleled entertainment to audiences all over central Texas.
Inspired by the drive-in movie theater experience at the height of drive-in popularity in the 1950s and 1960s, Chris and Sarah decided that, in the spirit of Austin’s free-thinking culture, they would upgrade their drive-in to include so much more.
The Spirit Of Austin Entertainment In Buda
Austin, TX is no stranger to movies and movie theaters. Huge, nationally recognized events such as South By Southwest and Austin City Limits attract countless Americans to the city, where they enjoy first peeks at big pictures as well as exclusive screenings of independent films made by local and national filmmakers.
At a population of nearly one million and continually growing, Austin’s borders also keep expanding. New housing and commercial developments are reaching into neighboring municipalities such as Kyle and Buda, where the Doc’s Drive-In Theatre experience is always available.
The Doc’s Drive-In Theatre location lays just outside Austin’s city limits, but it lives in the heart of Austin citizens from north to south.

Our Mascot, Doc
We’ve captured the spirit of our beloved retired family doctor, Stanley, in our dog mascot Doc, our Doc’s Drive-In Theatre representative. We wanted to express our love of Austin’s pet culture and pay homage to Stanley in a way that our customers would love.
The result is the endlessly upbeat and energetic Doc, who will help guide you through the ins and outs of fun and entertainment at Austin’s one and only Doc’s Drive-In Theatre!
